Destiny, Summarized

A fantastic new trailer has just emerged from the darkest depths of CCP’s marketing department. If you’ve ever asked the question, “how the hell did I get here?” (in EVE terms, that is) then this trailer may provide some answers.

While a big departure from the normal style of CCP’s trailers (slow fades, gentle new agey music, sexy lady voice, nonsensical dialogue, sweeping space shots, internet spaceships), this one draws you in for reasons that are very different than game trailers in general. Pretty sweet stuff.

Thoughts, oh writhing masses of New Eden?

Welcome to www.warpdriveactive.com, a site for the Warp Drive Active comic and podcast.

If this is all very confusing to you, then you’re probably not an EVE Online player. I’ll forgive you for that, but at least go look at the game’s page. It’s fracking amazing, no? Once you get past that, the progression of inspiration for the site is thus: the comic is about the game, the podcast is about the game too but is riding on the fame of the comic. Some folks take in one and not the other, some enjoy both.

Feeling it necessary to unite the comic and podcast under the same banner, I finally got off my ass and registered the domain with the intent of providing one home for both thingies. So far it’s working well, and had the amusing side-effect of finally getting the comic its own domain after almost being around like five years.

Procrastination for the win.
